Even though you already have a job, there are certain times when job hunting is necessary. Here are a few signs to look for.
1. When the pay is low, and you have to work two jobs in order to pay for the rent. If this sounds like you, then this is the time for you to revise your resume and start looking for a better job. Having too many jobs can be bad for your health and your energy. It also cramps down on your personal life.
2. There is just no more room to grow. If you have been at the same job for years, you may be bored and tired of the entire routine. As well, you may be watching other people advance in the corporate world, and somehow nothing is coming down your pipeline.
3. The office politics is too much. In smaller offices, it is a fact that there are much more interpersonal relationships involved and you really have to get along well with everyone. Sometimes, it is not possible to get along well with everyone and some people can make life difficult for you. Personally, I worked in smaller companies and found some environments very hostile and filled with personal jealousy and envy. If this sounds like you, may be want to work for a larger company where personal interaction with coworkers are kept at a minimum.
It is never too late to look for a new job. If you are an older worker, you don't have to despair. Many companies value maturity and experience. You don't have to stay in a rut for good. Do yourself a favor and look for a new job.
This blog intends to help people just like you, find their ideal job.
